...... Partners and Allies ......

The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) is one of the largest Christian denominations in the United States, with about 4 million members in nearly 10,000 congregations across the United States, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Our Vision
A South Carolina where everyone is equal.

Our Mission
To secure equal civil and human rights for all lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender South Carolinians and their families.

Openings

Openings is a supportive and welcoming network of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender persons and straight allies coming from diverse spiritual traditions to open hearts, minds, and doors.

Located in the heart of Columbia, the Harriet Hancock LGBT Center is the hub of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender activity in the Midlands of South Carolina.

Our facility offers a variety of resources including a free lending library, meeting spaces for LGBT-supportive groups, and a directory of LGBT-friendly businesses, organizations, and counselors while also serving as the headquarters for the South Carolina Pride Movement.

Columbia, SC Prime Timers is a not-for-profit, noncommercial and nonpartisan organization open to all gay and bisexual men 21 years of age and older, who subscribe to our purposes of socialization and fellowship, in a safe environment. .

We Lutherans in South Carolina are part of a church that shares a living, daring confidence in God’s grace — and there’s room for all here. Your questions, curiosity, passion and complexities are part of who you are, and you are a beloved child of the living God!

In the South Carolina Synod, we seek to respond to God’s love by loving him and serving the people he has created. There are ministries for – and with – all ages, not only in the state of South Carolina, but in many parts of the globe.

The South Carolina Synod is one of 65 synods of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA)..

putting families first

Homeless No More is a nonprofit organization that believes family homelessness is entirely solvable. Our continuum of care – from emergency services to transitional and affordable housing – keeps each family together and meets their needs at the right time with the right services. By providing the support to move each family toward a permanent, self-sufficient solution, we can eradicate family homelessness and help parents and their children achieve lasting independence.
