Q & A began during COVID as a chance for friends to connect during lock down and was called by a different name "Friday Unwind". As the world evolved from the isolation of COVID, so did Friday Unwind. The social gathering of both L G B T Q + and Ally of different religious faiths created a curious questioning of how their church and faith was expanding to embrace all people of race and sexual orientation. Thus, Friday Unwind became Q & A, Queer and Ally, Question and Answer. Q & A meets on the third Thursday of each month, 5:30 p.m., at INDAH Coffee, 2238 Sumter St, Columbia.
Q & A was created to help build understanding and comfort between the Queer and Ally communities of faith in the midlands of South Carolina. A place where questions are asked and answers are found without judgement in hopes of expanding church culture to be more loving and inclusive to all.
